hoping for a green thumb

Last weekend, we went out to the Farmers' Market to get some herbs. I'm basically obsessed with fresh basil and I decided I wanted to try my hand at growing some things this year. We got this huge urn that I thought would be perfect for a variety of herbs. We also got a sungold tomato plant on a whim and plan to pot that in a different place with a tomato cage. I've never attempted something like this before, but I'm super excited. If I can have fresh pesto and be able to make chicken with fresh rosemary and thyme, I will be one happy camper. Here's to hoping my thumbs aren't black!
